The factory GM pinion nut requires a special 6-lug spanner socket to torque to the required 200 ft/lbs — and those sockets are notoriously expensive and fragile. When the lugs snap mid-install, the job stops completely until a replacement arrives. Here at Texas Drivetrain Performance, we engineered an exclusive solution that eliminates this problem entirely.

The TDP solution — 6-point billet chromoly pinion nut

Our exclusive Corvette pinion nut for your C5 or C6 replaces the factory 6mm hole spanner design with a clean 6-point profile that accepts a standard 85mm socket. No fragile lugs, no expensive specialty tools, no interruptions mid-install. Torque it down and move on with the build.

Machined from billet chromoly steel, this is a direct replacement for the factory nut — same thread pitch, same sizing, direct bolt-in fitment — and significantly stronger than stock.
