The excessive play found in nearly all C5 and C6 Corvette shifter linkage can cause symptoms of a transmission issue, when in fact the real issue is the loose shift bar. When it’s excessively worn, it prevents the shifter from moving the transmission completely into gear, inaccurately leading many Corvette owners to believe their transmission is failing. Our shift rod rebuild kit is the solution!
