Increased Transmission Durability

During a typical transmission rebuild, it’s normally only necessary to replace the synchro rings that have friction linings. We recommend the Stage 2 kit(s) for that. In addition, the inner/outer rings can be replaced. It’s best to disassemble the transmission first to see if you need these. Or you can simply add to your order just to be on the safe side. It’s labor-intensive to gain access to the internals of a transmission. The unit has to be removed, disassembled, reassembled, and re-installed. As such, it’s always good practice to replace any questionable parts.
