TR6060 T56 Conversion Bearing/Sleeve 2-Piece Cluster to 1-Piece

Fitment

• Most 2005-down T56 tailhousings that use the tapered LM12711 race/LM12749 bearing
• Custom bearing/sleeve that allows a T56 tailhousing to work on a TR6060 (or Magnum transmission)

Includes

• Billet precision-made sleeve
• Custom straight-roller bearing
• Loctite 648 retaining compound

Instructions

1. Thoroughly clean surfaces around the bearing race bore
2. Apply a thin layer of Loctite 648 (green retaining compound) to the inside walls of the race bore & the outside of the sleeve
3. Using a race driver, install the sleeve into the tailhousing. It’s machined to be a slip-fit into the tailhousing
4. Once the sleeve is seated, apply Loctite 648 to the inside of the sleeve, as well as the outside of the bearing. Then press the bearing in until it bottoms out.
5. There is no clip or retainer needed. Once the bearing is pressed into place, it expands the sleeve and puts a much-tighter press fit into the tailhousing. The retaining compound serves as “extra insurance” and keeps the bearing in place to the point that it would be difficult to remove.
